WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF JESUS' LIFE?

When we see Jesus' life, we should try and see our own.
From my perspective, Jesus' life was surrounded by religious beliefs from the start, but
he overcame them and the typical outward searching for life answers by seeking the
Spirit within. We are told Jesus was born of a virgin. To me, virginity would better
symbolize Mary not being corrupted by religion; she was pure in this most important
sense, giving Jesus a home life that supported spirituality and not religiosity.
Jesus flowed with wisdom, while walking in the knowledge and the power of the spirit of
truth, love and healing. The message of Jesus' life that we need to grasp is that we too
can follow the same Divine Spirit from within our own being and manifest love, wisdom,
and healing, while not following others' religious beliefs.
Before Jesus' crucifixion, he took upon himself the "sin of the world." I believe "the sin of
the world" to be the way the world perceives things incorrectly. Sin is incorrect thinking.
Jesus chose to take upon himself incorrect thinking, which caused him to see himself
separate from the Divine (Why have you forsaken me?- Mark 15:34). Then, we are told
he found himself in hell, but ascended out of its depths (His soul was not left in Hades. -
Acts 2:31). Incorrect thinking brings beliefs which can cast one into a self-created hell,
or prison of the mind. Jesus demonstrated this, and showed hell to not be some eternal
place of punishment, but only a temporary state of mind. We too can escape hell by not
thinking as the world thinks. Jesus' life showed that hell is something that can be undone.
Finally, Jesus' life shows us that death is not real, as we are told that he appeared again
alive - resurrected somehow in Spirit. The passing of the physical body does not change
who we are, for we are spirit. The spirit...the soul lives on and death is only an illusion.
We also cannot be changed by death of the physical body, as our spirit is incorruptible,
pure and lives forever. You are a spirit within the Divine Spirit, and not a body.
