I was thinking of this verse the other day and had a revelation on it:

"Of a truth I perceive, that God is no respecter of persons."   Acts 10:34 KJV

Peter stated the above quote after he had earlier heard God within himself speak, "Call no man common or unclean."  Usually, Acts 10:34 is interpreted as meaning all can come to be saved, no matter what race, color or creed one is.  However, I am hearing God saying He does not see any of us as separate from Him or each other.  He cannot respect "persons" or individuals, because that is separation.
He sees us all as one in Him and in each other. This is the truth Peter perceived!  I am not sure we see ourselves as one, but as separate beings, yet.  Isn't that what Jesus prayed for in John 17:21-23, that we may all be one?  Perhaps He spoke forth that all would recognize oneness with God and each other as one body.              -LC

Where is God? Have you ever seen someone look up to the sky and pray to God (To them: probably an old man on a throne up above somewhere...), looking for their answer and deliverance from outside themselves?  If so, consider the two verses together:

"...Christ in you, the hope of glory."     Colossians 1:27

"
I can do all things through Christ that empowers me."    Philippians 4:13

Both passages together clearly show that our hope and power comes from within our very being.  "How?"  One may ask.  Through Christ: the knowledge of your oneness with God.
God is the life-giving power within all. The idea of being separate from God by placing Him somewhere outside of you is illusionary, and in effect makes you percieve yourself as helpless and powerless.  All may be achieved through your source within you, by simply connecting with that source. If you are looking outside yourself for answers, you are ignoring the truth of who you really are.

God, where are you?
No separation.
"Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison; truly, I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny."   -Matthew 5:25-26

Lately, I have not been able to stop thinking about the verse which states,
"whatever a man sows, he shall also reap." In the above parable stated by Jesus, the accuser, judge and guard are one's conscience. If I choose to darken my soul, I will pay a price of suffering until my wrong thinking is undone.  That is paying the last penny.  It is not God's judgement on man, but a simple law of God. If I choose suffering, I will suffer.  If I choose love and peace I will know love and peace.  No one can attack you, but yourself. "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." Guard your soul, and escape a self-imposed prison of darkness.  As Socrates once said, "Know thyself."
Know Thyself.

The Alpha and Omega
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End...Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come..."    -Revelation 1:8

This verse is typically understood to be Jesus' claim as God to be worshipped because he states his prior and therefore eternal existence.  However, I think he was stating something greater.  Jesus is proclaiming that he is a picture of who we really are...our true condition spiritually.  Your true condition of who you really are cannot be changed by this physical realm. It only appears that way. The separation in our minds have produced an illusion which we each individually see and believe as mankind being powerless, imperfect and fallen away from God.  But, Jesus has demonstrated for all that the misperception will be healed in all of us, and the true state known by all; hence all will be "resurrected" to oneness back to God and each other.  Jesus said, "The things that are impossible with men are possible with God." Is anything impossible for God?
Narrow is the Way
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."   Matthew 7:13-14

This passage is usually used by religious leaders to "scare" people into following their doctrines and teachings concerning heaven and hell.  But the two paths are quite easily understood when one considers how most people live in this world.  Most are living outwardly, being motivated by this physical realm and its riches, thus looking to it for answers and happiness.  The problem is that this physical world and its riches are temporary and not eternal; thus the foundation for one's life being led this way is like a house being built on sand.  It is an illusion, not eternal, and will eventuall fall. Therefore, the broad way which leads unto destruction (self-induced I might add!) is to be led outwardly; following the five senses and mind as led by the physical world completely void of the leadings of one's soul by the Holy Spirit.  The narrow gate then, is to be inwardly led by the Holy Spirit which communicates to your soul through an inner knowing.  This way the mind and physical body can come into harmony with the Spirit of God, being led as one from within.  The truths understood this way are eternal and is like building a house (or your life) on a solid foundation- "a rock."  The Spirit brings Life...

Why do I say to follow the truth within?

I write this short article because of the many e-mails I receive asking me about the statement, "The truth will only be found within you."  This statement is made on the cover page of
JesusReligion.Com and really messes with the religious. It is amazing to me the amount of "bible thumpers" who would stand up and fight for their religion, yet are unaware that Jesus stated (not me), truth is to be found within...right in their bibles:

"The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."  (John 14:17)

Jesus was speaking of the Holy Spirit speaking to the hearts of mankind -
from within their inner most being.  This is what Jesus meant when he stated, "The kingdom of God is within you." Everything, "your source" is within your very being.  I had one gentleman state that the 911 hijackers who crashed jumbo jets into the World Trade Center Towers were following what they believed to be truth within.  He was wrong.  The hijackers were following manmade rules and orders in their heads, not the spirit of love and truth within their hearts.  There is a difference between following the brain and following the heart.

Jesus never asked to be worshipped, but pointed to the Father as the one to be worshipped:

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."  (John 4:23-24)

And now for my favorite:

"For as many are
led by the spirit of God, these are the sons of God."  (Romans 8:14)

(Notice Paul did not say, "those who are led by the bible, church, pastor, or denominational doctrine!")

Why did Jesus use scripture?

Did you ever notice Jesus answered the devil using scripture?  The religious teachers of our day would have us believe it was because Jesus always used scripture to "battle evil."  But, that is not what Jesus was doing.  Let's take a look at the passage of Jesus battling a devil in the wilderness:

"Then Jesus was led up to the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil."  (Matthew 4:1)

The word translated "devil" simply means "false accuser" or "slanderer."  It is my opinion that Jesus ran into a religious leader or even religious thoughts in his mind, not a literal devil with a pitchfork. That is what he battled in the wilderness (of his mind).  Often, Jesus called the religious leaders snakes and "devils" in the gospel accounts.  Why should we think this devil is any different?  Also, it is important to note that Jesus was not led by scripture to the wilderness, but by the Holy Spirit, as we are to be led.

Matthew 4:2-11, then proceeds to tell us how the tempter comes and quotes scripture to Jesus.  Jesus in return quotes scripture back.  Then the tempter leaves.  This is a very similar parallel to the actions of religious leaders in Jesus' day and today.  I believe what is going on here is a parable of how the religious leaders will use scripture against all of us - even by propulgating false doctrines (and even unknowingly).  In the wilderness of our minds, we have a choice as to whether to accept those false ideas concerning God and mankind, or stand against those ideas and hear for ourselves from within our hearts - as the Spirit speaks to us.  As Jesus battles these "religious ideas" or even a "religious leader" attacking him, Jesus speaks back to the attacker with scripture...why?
Jesus uses scripture because that is what is used against him;  that is what is being believed as truth by his attacker.  This is the same way religious leaders attack the minds of their followers: by citing scripture verses as proof of their authority and truthfulness.  Yet, they twist scripture verses to "prove" what is not true; and control what is not their's to control - people. Therefore, when we speak against religious leaders or when we speak to free those bound by scripture, we should also use scripture to help free themTry using the same thing that has bound them, to help unbind them.  That is why JesusReligion.Com is loaded with scripture...
