Jesus answered, "You are very near the kingdom. As dreams are an illusion, so are the
thoughts of the fallen intellect. When one awakens from a scary dream, a feeling of
relief overwhelms him. On the other hand, when one awakens from a pleasant dream, a
sense of happiness remains. In either case, the dream is not made real because of the
feeling it brings. So it is with your struggle, which is the struggle of each and every one
of you. The fallen intellect brings thoughts that evoke emotions. Because you feel
happy or sad, love or hate, security or fear, you react accordingly. You justify your
actions because you felt some form of an emotion. In essence, your emotions validate
your actions. But how can your actions be true if the emotions that caused them are not
true? To you, this seems almost involuntary because you have been conditioned all your
life to operate as such. But have you ever questioned the truth of the source of your
emotions? What premise do they witness to? Do they proceed from the divine intellect
or the fallen? What is true can never be threatened because eternally it has no opposite,
it only is. What is false can only be threatened because it only knows one thing at the
expense of another. When you realize this, in truth there is nothing to fear. So you do
not become agitated by the attempts of the fallen intellect to capture your attention. You
just see it for what it is - an illusion. Like a dream, it is not real and therefore is
disregarded. Do not be upset when you recognize the lie at work within you.
Rather, shine the light of truth on it so that it can be exposed for what it is. In the reality
of Sonship it will be undone and you will be redeemed. Thus you will be saved from the
lie, even though the idea of salvation only makes sense to those who see themselves as
needing saved from something."
"If I disregard the emotional side of my intellect, I will be enlightened," asked Phillip?
Jesus answered, "You disregard it because you are enlightened. Do you see how deep
the split in your mind goes? You are always seeking to do rather than be. Enlightment
is not something to be obtained because you don't have it. It is something to be
recognized inside you because you have always had it. The Father creates nothing
without light. It is you that have misused your creative powers, attempting to darken
what shines in you eternally. Why do you choose to see yourself diminished rather than
complete? Because you see yourself as such, you see others as such. This is the
essence of despair. The words that I am speaking to you should cause joy inside your
being. Yet it frustrates you because you continue to identify with lack. You are whole,
not separate. My gospel is peace because this is my message. The lost are now found,
not because they were ever lost but because they believed they were and acted
accordingly."
"If I identified with the fallen intellect, I would call you servants. Instead, I call you
friends and brothers. I do not seek to subdue you, for what is eternally free cannot be
subdued. You subdue yourselves and therefore fear that I might demand of you
something that cannot be given. But I only ask of you what you already have but have
chosen to ignore. What I speak is very natural, but to you it is unnatural. That is
because you have called the unnatural natural. Do not underestimate your worth. You
are worth more than the entire world, because the world was created for you. I have
more to say on this subject, but you are not able to hear it now."
"I am the way, the truth, and the light. I am the way because in looking on me you will
see the way to the Father. I am the truth because I only bear witness to the truth I hear.
I am the light because I see only truth and the fact that there is no darkness. But to
you, I am the express image of the Father in you. Because humanity has been
overtaken by the senses, I was sent into this world. My purpose is to provide a
physical expression of what each of you are in truth. You are free because you have
believed yourself to be something other than you really are. I am persecuted because I
'make myself equal with God.' Yet I only witness to the truth. Do not be surprised if
you are persecuted for witnessing to the truth of your identity. Split minds will perceive
this as threatening because they believe they are less than what they are and that order
can only come through conquest. But you will know otherwise, and will therefore do
greater works than I can do at this time. You will harvest the fruit of the seed I am
planting. This seed will bear fruit, because it is the seed of truth. Truth cannot be
overcome. It cannot be denied forever. Only the temporal can be attacked, but what
fear can there be in this when the true self is known, which is beyond attack?"
"This world has rules and regulations whose purpose is to preserve its' existence. What
I speak to you will be perceived as threatening to those who believe this world to be
real and essential to happiness. Therefore, do not be surprised when you are attacked
for speaking the same message I speak. But do not speak it only because I do, but
because you see it as true. When you see, you can only testify to what you know to be
true. No man will need consulted; neither can man make a judgement against it. Truth
knows no opposite. It only is."
