| "You, and all of Israel, have been changed by the yeast of the Pharisees, and of Herod. Since you were born you have been taught what 'good behavior' is, by how it is in contrast with bad behavior. Instead of being taught to listen to the voice of truth inside you, you have been taught what good behavior is by being shown examples of what bad behavior is. Therefore, your focus has always been to govern yourself by what you physically see and hear. But the physical is temporary, and only alludes to the eternal. The eternal created the physical, and never perishes. It is the gift of truth and life. It does not seek obedience to what it teaches because it fears consequences of doing the opposite. It induces obedience because of what it is - true and holy. What is true has no opposite; because if it did the possibility exists that it could be vanquished. Truth and love can never be vanquished. But to the physical, truth and love are murdered every day. But they are not really murdered. You may kill those who witness to them, but truth and love live on forever." "So why is it that you continue to identify with that which is temporary, and because it is temporary it is false? It is because this is what you have been conditioned to do. But I show you a more excellent way. Change the tree, and the fruit will be good. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit, and the good tree cannot bear bad fruit. I tell you that your true self is good and not bad, and therefore does not need obedience to outside rules and regulations in order to achieve goodness. If you follow my teachings, you will find that you follow them because you understand them from within yourself. Because my teachings are true, they will strike a chord with your heart because they witness to what you already know, but have forgotten. My teachings are like an old friend you have not seen or thought of for many years, and have therefore forgotten. But when you see that friend again, you will remember that you once knew him and will embrace him once again. You will then realize that you have been taught to operate in backwards fashion. The Pharisees have taught you to learn truth by observing things outside of your being - which is impossible. Truth proceeds from inside you and causes you to view that which is outside for what it really is." "Beware of how subtle the yeast of the Pharisees is. As you seek to undo its' influence over you, you will be surprised how often you still think according to its' belief system. It will seek to control your every action by fear, guilt, and shame. But fear, guilt, and shame are the tools of that which seeks to control and manipulate - they are not the tools of truth and love. They seek to take advantage of you so that the status quo is kept in order. But truth obliterates the status quo - because the status quo murders original thought and inspiration. When you know the truth, it will set you free from the devastating cycle of guilt and shame." "You will find that there are two identities at work inside you - the true man and the false man. The nature of these men causes your mind to be split. The Father seeks to unify your mind by showing you that only one of these men really exists at all. The other exists only because you think he does. Remember the saying, 'As a man thinks in his heart, so is he?' Your actions testify to what you believe. If you identify with the false man you have created for yourself, you will act according to guilt, fear, punishment, and separation. On the other hand, if you know your true self, you will demonstrate this by encouraging others to know their true identity. By this you will know those who seek to control people from those who seek to free people. The Pharisees and Herod seek to control others because they identify with the false man of their own creation. Do not be surprised that they will hate you because your teaching threatens their ability to control and exploit others. In truth, there is no difference between religion and politics, because they are built on the insane belief that people must be controlled and told what to do." "Do not see people as physical beings, but as an extension of yourself. What the Father creates is one. The Father cannot create things that are separate. The Lord God of Israel is one. That is why I tell you that the Father and I are one. If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Likewise, whatever you do to one of my brothers, you have done to me. If you must use another physical being to help you see the Father living in you, then use me, for I am the way, the truth, and the life. I only do what I hear the Father telling me to do. I only witness to what he shows me. Therefore, follow me. But eventually, you will see that you and I both have in us the spirit of truth, always witnessing to the truth and leading us through the darkness of false thinking. When you see this, you will know your true identity. Therefore, I am your Savior - the one who saves you from false thinking and shows you your true identity." "From this day forward, do not view the Pharisees of Herod as your masters. Rather, listen to the true master who leads you into the light. Religion and politics do not seek to lead people into true light. They only seek allies to their way of thinking. Do not seek to learn your true identity from those who do not understand their own." |
